Facebook App That Strikes A Six With K-Memory!

The Approach: Kingston Technology, world leaders in memory products. The focus was to attract new fans on FB to promote their new range of products – flash drives, Mobile memory cards and RAM’s. The target audience was a mix of college goers and young professionals. It was necessary to define a cost effective strategy to reach the objective. It was decided that social media would be the right medium.

In India, Cricket is a religion. During a cricket match, people remain glued to their television sets. Hence with the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 fast approaching, we wanted to capitalize on the cricket frenzy to leverage brand engagement. Besides this, we wanted to push the envelope further by spreading cricket cheer on the social media platform.

Kingston Cover Drive campaign was born to create excitement around ICC. We created a FB app to engage the audience. Exciting UI screens were erected and in order to get massive involvement, we created three contests “Go. Play. Win” and Click-N-Win for consumers. Supported by a display campaign the same was aggressively advertised to get better engagement in the contests.

The Result:
Overall the Kingston Cover Drive activity was a success and Kingston received an overwhelming response on the social platform.

– Total new likes increased by 7,000
– Total engagement was 1,98,734
– Total reach was 80,38,745
